The Kevin A Przybyl Breathe Easy Foundation was just awarded a $6,000 grant from the Dunkin Donuts Foundation. This Money will be used to complete a project that the Breathe Easy Foundation began last year at Winter Park Memorial Hospital. Winter Park Hospital is the adult care facility for patients with Cystic Fibrosis. This facility treats over 154 CF patients yearly and the project was to remodel a total of 4 patient rooms dedicated for CF patients. Last year we were able to complete two rooms which included new paint, hard wood floors, a big screen TV, and sleeper chair for family members to spend the night with the patients. On average a patient with CF will spend a minimum of 2 weeks per hospital stay but can stay months at a time. Patients with CF tend to get admitted to the hospital multiple times a year so having a comfortable room is key to helping patients recover. Thank to Dunkin Donuts generous grant, we will be able to complete the final 2 rooms.
